throwin'
I have a considerable inertia built up and so posting just about anything right now seems monumental.

I'm sick of listening to the news, "official" and otherwise, and just feeling pissed off and utterly confused. I'm not a big nihilist but I do think you should let things die when they're dying, let nature take her course. So I find this entire "global economic crisis" and the attending mass dance of denial utterly disturbing and absurd.

It's like dragging a dead relative around to parties and dressing them up for the holidays because you can't stand to be an adult human being and lay them to rest.

It's broken. The dream of the rich getting constantly richer while the not-so-rich mortgage and indebt themselves to keep up and in-turn, this puny percentage of the world's inhabitants simply continues to rape and pillage the rest of the planet and her people in order to propagate this juvenile and pathetic delusion is NOT DOABLE.

FUCKING SWALLOW IT NOW. And stop telling me to believe that those people on the "front lines" in the financial sector who aren't getting their juicy bonuses or have to cash in some of their GICs to buy a new SUV or take the second vacation this year are worthy of my pity, because I can tell you how often I've been helped out by the financial sector when I wanted to lower my interest rate or "reposition" my debt. Let them squirm.

Stop asking me to accept that our elected representatives are simply throwing our money and future generation's money and futures back into this bloated, sick, scheme because the aging pussies that put them in power can't face up to reality even when it's giving them the big atomic wedgie in their Depends that they so desperately need.

I may not be a big nihilist but I do believe that anarchy will ultimately sort everything out. Too bad we're a culture of spoiled, complacent children who will literally have to see our friends and families starving in font of us before we'll wake up enough to get involved and do something about it.

Change?

I'm waiting.

I'm guessing this is the long slide out... I don't have the inclination to share much here except when I'm feeling pretty dismal. And that's no fun. Certainly no fun at all.

I'm fed up with being disappointed and wondering if it's all my fault.

It's just all so unbearably fucking boring.

How can you know something so well, so intimately - and then forget it?

I feel that is what has happened with my sense of who I am.

When I recognize myself again, will it be like an old friend returning?

Or just a sad acknowledgement of something familiar yet ... too painful to call comfortable.

I wander through life searching for myself the way you wander aimlessly through the house when you forget,
that the glasses you are searching for are on your head.

Went to see the second screening of FLicKeR at HotDocs tonight. Nice. Not as in-depth as I had hoped it would go into Gysin's process but still nice to see the subject on film and getting out there. Some lovely quotes, particularly Gen P-Orridge stating that he wasn't sure the human species "deserves a drugless high. I think they deserve to have their bottoms spanked".

Indeed.

Sorry that I missed the Wesley Willis Joyride - Hugh check in - did you taste a Panda's ass?

At 1am I find myself facing a serious desire to listen to "As the Veneer of Democracy Starts to Fade" from end to end. What are my chances?
